New Supporting Organisation: Amputees Federation of New Zealand

Amputees Federation of New Zealand joins the growing number of organisations supporting the Access Alliance.

The Access Alliance is thrilled to be working with Amputees Federation of New Zealand (AFNZ) as they join the call for accessibility legislation in Aotearoa New Zealand.

AFNZ was established in 1947 to support and promote the interests of amputees. With nine district societies located throughout New Zealand, AFNZ provide support and care to help Kiwis with lost limbs achieve the best quality of life.

Education and advice in rehabilitation, and social and physical networks, are all part of the services provided by AFNZ. In addition, amputees are equipped with artificial limbs and given the training required to be able to use these aids in day-to-day life.

We look forward to our new partnership with Amputees Federation of New Zealand. Together we aim to make sure that New Zealand is inclusive and equitable for all, through the introduction of accessibility legislation.
