  • Be a champion business

If your business supports the following pledge we welcome you to become a champion business. Upload your logo and a short message about why your support accessibility and what steps you are or will take in your own business to improve accessibility.

We believe accessibility, diversity, and inclusion are at the heart of a thriving country, and a thriving business. Every New Zealander should be able to fully participate in society, have the opportunity to learn, to get a job, to access goods, services, events and facilities, and to take part in community and social life.

We’re backing a more inclusive and accessible Aotearoa New Zealand.

Add your name to support our stories

Every New Zealander should be able to fully participate in society. Over the last few months, we've been gathering stories from people around the country who face barriers trying to do the everyday things other New Zealanders take for granted: go to school, see a doctor, go to a cafe, catch a bus, get a job.

Campaigners from the disability community have been busy meeting with their MPs, sharing their stories, and explaining why we need an accessibility law at the heart of a more inclusive Aotearoa.

On 4 September, we'll be presenting the Minister for Disability Issues with a giant version of a booklet of stories from the disability community, complete with the names of organisations, businesses, and people like you who support the campaign. Arrive at 11am for a presentation to the Minister at 11:30.

Join us and add your name to the book to show you support a more inclusive and accessible Aotearoa New Zealand.

Event Update: the weather tomorrow is looking sub-optimal for the presentation at Parliament so the venue has been changed so we can all be inside and warm and dry!

We will now be gathering across the road at Bowen House. We will all need to go through security screening but extra security staff will be in attendance and are prepared for any accessibility requests. The best entrance is off Lambton Quay which is fully accessible.

This is an important moment for the campaign so don't let the weather keep you away! Come along, share, and support our collective stories as we present them to the Minister.

    See you there!

Here is a google map link to find Bowen House- it is at 74-80 Lambton Quay which is the corner of Lambton and Bowen just across the road from the Beehive: https://www.google.co.nz/maps/place/Bowen+House/@-41.2795156,174.7767689,15z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x2d0adf350d69f97d!8m2!3d-41.2795156!4d174.7767689
