Dyslexia Foundation of New Zealand (DFNZ)

Dyslexia Foundation of New Zealand (DFNZ) was formed in November 2006 to provide a voice for, and services to, the estimated one in ten New Zealanders with dyslexia as well as to those supporting them.

DFNZ is recognised as the foremost lobby group for dyslexia in New Zealand. The DFNZ advocates for supporting neurodiversity in three key areas- Education, Justice, and the Workplace.

Notice and adjust is our mantra. Identifying barriers (often hidden) and removing them is central to human potential being allowed to flourish. Without this, self doubt and a feeling of ‘less than’ is inevitable which is life’s greatest barrier.

When it comes to neurodiversity, we say ‘get it right for dyslexia, get it right for all’.

The Access Matters campaign accelerates our agenda of recognition, understanding, and ACTION.
